The TOPS Tac-Raze is a modern interpretation of a classic razor design. TOPS owner Leo Espinoza carefully designed this knife, making it more akin to a practical EDC folder than your grandpa’s old straight razor while keeping its roots intact. Right off the bat users will notice there is no lock, as the knife is a friction folder design which can be held into place by placing your hand over the extended blade tang. The Tac-Raze 04 has a handsome and rugged Green Canvas Micarta handle, high quality leather sheath for carry and Black River Wash finished, 1095 Carbon Steel, Recurved Tanto blade.

Blade: The TOPS Tac-Raze 04 has Recurve Tanto blade made from 1095 Carbon tool steel with the ever popular Black River Wash. There is just enough jimping on the blade spine to prevent slipping and opening tension can easily be adjusted with a Torx screwdriver for user preference while a generous index choil paired with the extended tang delivers added security. One hand operation is simple thanks to the lack of locking mechanism. Rotate the tang out to open and rotate from the spine to close. A Tanto style point handles piercing tasks with ease while the recurve cutting edge is an efficient slicer.

Handle: Two slabs of Green Canvas Micarta are held in place by three black coated Torx screws for a secure, easy to maintain, open back construction. Contoured edges make for a comfortable grip while the rugged material provides traction even when wet as well as being durable and weather resistant.

Sheath: A TOPS logo stamped, double stitched, premium leather sheath offers vertical or horizontal belt carry.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treatment to optimize cutting performance at the edge and durability at the spine.
