This limited production version has a Mike Irie hand hollow ground, mirror polished CPM-20CV reverse Tanto blade, satin hardware, smooth black aluminum handle and Mother-of-Pearl inlaid button. Blade: The Runt 5 comes with a California legal, sub-2″ blade made of premium CPM-20CV stainless steel delivering excellent performance for everyday use. This limited run reverse Tanto comes with a Mike Irie hand ground hollow grind for a thin, refined edge that slices with ease while the forward swedge tapers the tip for piercing and detail work. The clean slicing plain edge blade is equipped with a stunning mirror polished finish that further enhances corrosion resistance. The blade deploys via a button operated coil spring automatic mechanism for fast, smooth one-handed operation. Mother-of-Pearl inlaid into the button adds a touch of class to this one of a kind piece.

Handle: The robust handle is made of hard anodized aluminum for lightweight durability with a classy smooth finish for smooth pocket transition and a comfortable feel in hand. The small handle keeps the knife compact for carry while providing plenty of grip for secure use thanks to the nearly half inch thickness. A subtle choil, tapered end and dimpled jimping deliver a secure and comfortable grip. Satin hardware and inline lanyard hole complete the construction. Marked #8 of 40 on the handle edge.

Carries via a right hand, tip-up, DLC coated stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
