Blade: The Tanto blade has a single razor sharp edge with partial serrations and a Tactical two-tone finish, black Cerakote with satin flats and spine. Serrations make short work of tough fibrous material, while the Tanto point is a piercing powerhouse and works great on flat surfaces. Action is fast and smooth thanks to the double action automatic mechanism. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.

Handle: A smooth, hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle has contoured edges for a comfortable feel in-hand and smooth pocket transition. Strategic grooves around the sides improve traction for a secure grip. Microtech’s proprietary black hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip complete the construction.

Bohler M390: Bohler M390 (analog to CPM-20CV and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high carbide content for some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance, while being relatively easy to sharpen. A popular choice for high-end production and custom knives. Relatively high carbide volume and coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
