The Ultratech dual action out the front automatic knife from Microtech sets the standard for the category. Slim and lightweight enough for everyday carry but robust enough for hard tactical use, the Ultratech is a force to be reckoned with. This Tactical UMS (Uniformed Military Services) version has Black contoured handles with black hardware and an American, CTS-204P stainless steel Tanto blade featuring a black two-tone finish and partially serrated edge.
Brand new directly from Microtech Knives, USA.
Blade:Â Equipped with a brilliant two-tone black/satin finish, the Tanto point has a partially serrated cutting edge that offer aggressive cutting on tough, fibrous materials while retaining a clean cutting plain edge section. Reinforced for powerful piercing, the blade is made from high performance CTS-204P for top-notch edge retention and corrosion resistance. The grinds and fullers are black poly-ceramic Cerakote coated while the flats and spine are a machine satin. Just under 3.5 inch in length, the blade features a double action mechanism for fast, smooth operation. Simply move the black thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear.
Handle:Â Smooth, Black coated 6061-T6 aluminum handles have contoured edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. There are several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides adding traction in use. This lighter more ergonomic grip is comfortable and visually appealing. Handle construction is completed with Microtech’s Tactical Black proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with UMS, date of production and Claw logo on the front.
CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler’s M390.
