The Microtech Socom Elite offer the high-end performance Microtech is known for in a button operated, full-size automatic tactical folder . This version features a tactical, partially serrated, Tanto point blade in stain finished Bohler M390 and Black aircraft grade aluminum handle with traction inserts.

Blade: The Socom Elite sports a beefy 4-inch blade of Bohler’s high performance M390 with a rugged stonewashed finish. The high height saber grind offers an excellent combination of durability and slicing performance while the Tanto point offers the ultimate in piercing capability while retaining a high level of toughness. The blade opens lightening quick via the large, high traction button actuator.

Handle: Constructed of durable aluminum handles that are both light weight and tough, finished in a black hard anodization for a discreet look. Black traction inserts deliver security in the hand along with a jimped thumb ramp and jimping along both the top and bottom of the tapered pommel end. The same button that deploys the blade also disengages the rock solid plunge lock that delivers security in use. The Socom Elite is completed with Torx Hardware, right hand tip-down pocket clip and hardened steel glass breaker insert.

Each Socom Elite is individually serialized and dated on the front of the blade. 

Bohler M390: An extremely popular choice for high-end knives thanks to its extreme edge retention, M390 also has a good corrosion resistance, meaning most users can avoid problems by simply wiping off their blade after each use. Another great feature of this steel is its ability to resist burr formation during sharpening. Comparable steels are CTS-204P and Duratech 20CV.
